Our Design and Planning
Products take a lot of time and money to develop and launch and this one is no different. All of the CAD design has been completed. Our manufacturer in Asia, that we have worked with previously, has given us pricing and production capabilities. Shipping is expected to begin in early November 2017

Risks and challenges

This isn't our first product. We've brought several products to market in the past, and have learned from our experiences. While we have been relentless with the details throughout designing, prototyping, and planning the production itself, there is always the chance that Murphy may make an entrance with that law of his.

In the event that things don't go as we have planned, whether a delay in the manufacturing timeline, shipping date, or something else… we promise to communicate with you and work around the clock until we correct the issue and you receive your reward. Volvo will launch its first all-electric car in 2019 to take on Tesla — here’s everything we know

Volvo is looking to China for the future of its electric cars.

The carmaker said Wednesday that it plans to produce its first fully electric car in China and will export it around the world.

The Swedish automaker, which is owned by the Chinese company Geely, is making a big bet on electric vehicles.

In 2015, Volvo launched its XC90, which was its first vehicle with a hybrid powertrain. And in April 2016, the company vowed that it would sell one million electrified cars by 2025.

Volvo's first fully electric car is slated to go into production in 2019. Here's everything we know about the car so far.

Volvo's first electric car will have a 100 kWh battery and be manufactured at its factory in Luqiao, China.

Volvo's designed the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) for its smaller electric cars.Volvo
Mats Anderson, a senior director of electric propulsion systems, said in February that its modular car platforms will support 100 kWh battery packs, according to a report by Green Car Congress.

When fully charged, the vehicle will have a range of 250-miles.

To help put that into perspective, Tesla's Model S 100D has a range of 335 miles per charge, according to EPA estimates.

Volvo will likely price the car between $35,000 and $40,000, putting it in direct competition with Tesla's Model 3.

Lex Kerssemakers, CEO of Volvo Car USA, said in March that he was pushing for its first electric car to fall in the $40,000 range.

The move makes sense considering more affordable, long-range electric cars are coming to market in a similar timeframe.

Tesla is planning to launch its first mass-market car, the Model 3, by the end of this year, but the majority of its pre-orders are expected to arrive in 2018. And Volkswagen's first long-range, electric crossover is coming in 2020.

While Volvo hasn't said whether or not the vehicle will be a sedan or SUV, it has said it will use a smaller platform, similar to the 40-Series, for the car.

Volvo's 40.2 concept car.Volvo
Volvo previously said that its first electric car would be built on a larger platform, like the one used for the S90. However, the company has shifted away from that plan.

Volvo said in a press statement on Wednesday that its new electric car will be based on its Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), which is the platform the carmaker is using for its smaller 40-Series vehicles.

However, it is not clear whether Volvo will actually use the CMA platform for its first electric car, or if it will introduce a new platform that is even smaller.

Volvo also plans to launch another larger electric car by 2019

Volvo will also build an all-electric vehicle on its Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, which is the same platform the company used for its second-generation XC90 SUV and its 90-Series sedan.

Your Finances and God’s Promises

Many passages in the Bible talk about giving our money and other possessions given to us by God back to God

Written by Luis Palau

In many passages of the Bible where it talks about giving our money (and other possessions given to us by God) back to God, He always adds a promise to it. He doesn’t have to do that! Because He is God He could just say, “Do this because I say so – that’s why.” But He doesn’t. He is loving and good, and He chooses to bless us when we obey Him.

While we do not respond to God’s command in order to gain a personal benefit, let’s examine the promises He makes to us when we are faithful in our giving.

Look up Proverbs 3:9-10.

The first lesson in these verses is that we honor the Lord with our wealth. Why? To express gratitude for all He has given us. This honors Him, and we do it because we love Him. We also see that God requires our “firstfruits.” That means we set aside our giving for Him right when we first receive, not out of our leftovers.

What is His promise? Just look at verse 10. The promise is His mighty blessings to us in return.

Now look up 2 Corinthians 9:6-12.

Notice the promise: When you give generously, you will receive abundantly. He will supply and increase your “store of seed.” You will be made rich in every way so that you may be generous every chance you get. It’s your generosity that will spark others to thank God, and that brings glory to God.

Also look up Philippians 4:11-13.

Paul says that he learned to be content, whether he was living in need or in abundance. We also must learn to be content with Jesus Christ, no matter what our circumstances. But the Lord loves to provide in abundance. As we learn to give joyfully and generously, we learn great contentment.

God’s promise, as Paul experienced it firsthand, is that we can do all things through Him, because He Himself is our strength.

Please dig further into God’s Word on the subject of financial giving. He has much to say about the subject! Make notes. Write things down. Talk to the Lord. When you obey Him with your finances, He notices. God sees your heart and is blessed.

In the World, Not of the World

Jesus calls us to be different from the World, while making a difference in the World.

Written by Joy on 08/08/2015
Series: Weekly Devotional
Tags: Culture, Life, Light, Sin
“Jesus prayed, ‘They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.’” John 17:16-17

We cannot expect non-believers to have godly moral standards and desire to please God. We can, and should, expect Christians to act differently than the culture that they live in—as different as night and day.

Darkness of World Culture
“This, then is the judgement: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:19). Human culture is ruled by sin and selfish desires. Without Jesus people are lost in darkness (Matthew 18:10-14), dead in their sin (Ephesians 2:1-5), separated from God (Colossians 1:21-22) and condemned without hope (John 3:18). When you are in the dark, you cannot see the truth.

Remember, that is where we ALL began. (Romans 3:11, 23)

Jesus is the Light of the World
“He (Jesus) has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, in Him.” (Colossians 1:13-14). Becoming a Christian is not about reciting a prayer or going to church. It is a complete transfer of your allegiance from one king to another. It is a radical transformation of your identity. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

Have you been born again? What King do you serve?

Become Born Again

Live as Children of Light
Read Ephesians 4:17-24 and understand that “Christ-followers” must be different from the popular culture that surrounds them. We no longer belong to this world but to God. “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For everything that belongs to the world – lust for physical pleasure, a lust for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions- is not from the Father, but is from this world. And this world with its lust is fading away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.” (1 John 2:15-17).

Are you seeking first to please God?

Pray this week:

That God would expose any way that you are letting worldly culture influence you. Ask Jesus to rule your thoughts and actions as your rightful King.

For the first time, bees have been placed on the endangered species list

After years of study, the US Fish and Wildlife Service has placed seven species of Hawaiian yellow-faced bees on the endangered species list, the first time any bee has received such classification.

The service worked in conjunction with the Xerces Society, which advocates for invertebrate species, as well as local Hawaiian officials, to study the status of the bees. On its website, the Xerces Society noted seven species of the insect have been listed as endangered: Hylaeus anthracinus, Hylaeus longiceps, Hylaeus assimulans, Hylaeus facilis, Hylaeus hilaris, Hylaeus kuakea, and Hylaeus mana. In 1996, the service listed 33 species as “Species of Concern.”

The bees are native to Hawaii, and have been declining for a number of years due to intrusion from non-native plants and animals, as well as habitat destruction due to urban development. Scientists note that these bees are integral to the Hawaiian ecosystem as pollinators, and that they are “critical for maintaining the health of plants and other animals across the islands,” according to conservation and restoration team manager Gregory Koob, of the Fish and Wildlife Service in Honolulu.

Now that the bees have been placed on the endangered species list, they will receive additional protections from the federal government designed to help boost the species population and protect them from harassment from humans. These protections appear to be critically important as bee populations across the United States have declined in recent years. Other species appear to be poised for protection: the Service is considering endangered status for the rusty-patched bumble bee, which can be found across the United States.

How the Most Successful People Spend the First 30 Minutes of Their Workday

Does it ever seem like some people you know are advancing rapidly in their careers or businesses, while you seem to be just plodding along? Chances are you're not doing one simple thing that can make all the difference to achieving your goals. You're not putting yourself first.

In the personal finance world, experts often advise people to "pay yourself first." The idea is that when a paycheck or other payment comes in the first thing you should so is put a portion of it into your savings and only then pay your bills and other financial obligations.

Most of us, of course, instinctively do the opposite. We first pay our bills and then put money into savings if there's any left over. The problem, of course, is that there very rarely is any money left over. So our bills get paid, but we never manage to save much, making it impossible to reach our financial goals. This is why 401(k) programs are so powerful: They literally force you to pay yourself first by putting money into savings before you can pay anyone else.

Unfortunately, most of us take a similar approach with our time, a resource even more valuable than money. On any given workday we are faced with an array of tasks that we need to complete to fulfill our commitments to our customers, satisfy our bosses, meet our deadlines, and give our employees the support that they need.

But then there's another whole set of tasks. These usually have no deadlines, and there's no customer or colleague waiting impatiently for you to get them done. In fact, there's a good chance that nothing will result if you do them because they are often speculative in nature. These are tasks such as pitching new customers, researching possible markets your company could enter, or trying to develop a new product. If your initiative succeeds, you'll be a hero, but there's every chance that it may fail.

It may seem foolish to devote your time to projects that may pan out when there are paying customers waiting for you to deliver. Yet I'm suggesting you do just that for just half an hour a day. Here's how it works:

1. Take 30 minutes of each day and spend them on a speculative or dream project that could yield big dividends.
You could also spend them on research, or on learning more about your industry. If there's something that has real potential to move you forward and that you love to do, choose that. (If, like me, you're a Pomodoro Technique user, spend one pomodoro on your dream task.)

Why just half an hour? Wouldn't an hour be better? It might, but that would mean taking a big enough chunk out of your day that you might not be able to do it consistently. If a major deadline is looming or your boss is waiting impatiently for you to finish a proposal, will you really be able to set those concerns aside for a whole hour while you work on your dream project? Whereas there are few obligations so urgent that you can't sneak away for half an hour.

2. Make it the first half-hour of your workday.
Why? For the same reason that 401(k)s work so well: You're paying yourself first. You could turn to the most urgent tasks instead, hoping you'll have a half hour left over at the end of the day for your dream project. But most of the time you won't.

There's another good reason to take your half hour of "me" time at the start of the day: Neuroscientists report that the beginning of our workday is usually a great time to work on a creative project or other task that requires your brain to be functioning at its best.

3. Block out interruptions.
For this to work well, you should block out your half hour with no interruptions, for instance by closing your office door and turning off your phone. If necessary, put a sticky note on your door explaining that you'll be available in half an hour or less. And whatever you do, don't read your email before or during your "me" time, except for message specific to what you're working on.

4. When the 30 minutes are up, stop.
Even if you're on a roll and the work is flowing along like never before, stop when your time is up. Why is this important? Because if you sit down to work on something for half an hour but don't stop until two hours have passed, it will be twice as hard to keep that date with yourself tomorrow because you won't trust yourself to stop on time and get back to your most pressing tasks. You can always schedule some more time to work on your project later on if it seems to warrant it. But for now, stick to your commitment to stop after 30 minutes.

5. Track your progress.
It's easier to stick with something if it's yielding measurable results. So keep track of how you spend your "me" time. Make note of whether you managed to do it every day, or if there were some days it got swept aside. And track your progress on your dream projects and goals as well. That should help you understand what's working, what isn't, and how you can best spend your time.

6. Don't feel guilty.
If you feel like you're stealing time away from what you should be doing, get over it. The things you do during your "me" time create more potential to benefit your company and customers than if you simply focused on your existing tasks. Google famously allocated one full day a week for its engineers to work on whatever they wanted, and Gmail is just one of many widely used products to emerge from that practice.

What new products or initiatives will result your own whatever-I-want-to-work-on time? It's time to find out.

He’s The First-born Among Many Brethren

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:29).

As Christians, we’re not ordinary; we’re like Jesus: glorified, full of power, dominion and
authority. We’re not beggars, slaves, or paupers; we’re sons and daughters of God. Some Christians act or talk like beggars when they pray; they’d say, “Father, we’re
nothing before you….” How can we be nothing before one who has brought us into oneness with Himself? Read the opening verse again; it says we were predestinated to be conformed to the image of the Son of God, Jesus Christ—the first-born among many brethren—not among many slaves. We’re His brothers and sisters. Let this understanding change your perception of God, and your opinion of yourself. Instead of praying, “Oh Lord, please help me; bless me, do this or that for me” say, “Lord, I thank you that I’m blessed in all things, and with all things, because I’m a
joint-heir with Christ.” Oh, the depth, enormity and magnitude of His love, to have brought us into such a wonderful union with Himself! What great honour to become partakers
of His life, carriers of His glory, dispensers of His grace and the expression of His righteousness! His plan for us
