Trust Him For A Miracle

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and
wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the
Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
(Hebrews 2:4).

The New Testament gives numerous accounts
of the miracles Jesus did during His earthly
ministry. John 2:23 tells us that many believed in Him
when they saw the miracles He did. But there were
also many in His day who didn’t believe in Him despite
the miracles. It’s the same thing today; there’re some
who say that miracles don’t exist; but their’s is a twisted
opinion. Some of us have lived in and experienced, the
miraculous; we see, breathe, and experience miracles
all the time.
The very idea of the existence of a God is to believe
in the supernatural. If you don’t believe in miracles,
then you don’t believe in God! A miracle is God’s
supernatural intervention in the affairs of men. God is
a Spirit, and He lives in the realm of the spirit. When
you pray to Him, a God that you can’t see with your
physical eyes, and He answers you from that realm of
life, that’s a miracle. His answer to your prayers is His
response, and that’s what changes things.
God doesn’t need to respond if you don’t need
a miracle. You wouldn’t need Him to do for you what
you can, and should do for yourself. For example, He
doesn’t help you put on your clothes or shoes, or put
food in your mouth; you can do all that by yourself and
for yourself. If you’re thirsty for water, He doesn’t give
you a drink. But if you don’t have access to the water,
you can act your faith and He’ll grant you a miracle.
When you need a miracle, it means you need
something that only God can do; the moment you act
on the Word, He responds! He never fails to show up,
as He always responds to faith. You can trust Him for
a miracle for your health, finances, academics, job or
business, and for your family.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and
forever (Hebrews 13:8). If you accept and act on
His Word as others did in Bible days, you’ll get the
same results. This is what many are doing today, and
experiencing His miracles.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank
you for your presence in my life,
and your glory that fills my heart!
Thank you for your mercies and
blessings that I experience today
and always. I celebrate your
grace in my life, and the power
to live the transcendent life, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Idolatry In Relationships

Scripture: “Even after Paul and Barnabas had said all this, they could hardly keep the people from offering a sacrifice to them. Some Jewish leaders from Antioch and Iconium came and turned the crowds against Paul. They hit him with stones and dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead.”  (Acts 14:18-19)

Seeing a miracle, the people of one town assumed Paul was a pagan god. They started to worship him. But they were just as quickly persuaded to try to kill him. How could someone jump so quickly from love to hatred?

When you make a person an idol, you cannot really love them, for you’re seeking something from them that they are unable to give you.

The same way an idol is chiseled from stone, you “chip away” at someone who fails to please you. This causes you both great harm. The person believes you love them. But when you try to make them fit your idolatrous heart, your words and acts cut them deeply.

Is there someone in your life who is feeling pain because of your idolatrous heart?

Friday night when she veered off roadway and into Spanish Fork River  *   Fisherman found the car the next day, partially submerged in the river
  *   Groesbeck was found dead in driver's seat of vehicle, while her
baby girl was alive in the back seat, above the frigid river waters  *   Police officers said they heard an unknown woman's voice asking
softly for help as they approached the overturned car  *   Lily Groesbeck, 18 months old, was flown to Primary Children's
Hospital, where she was in stable condition and is improving

The four officers who rescued an 18-month-old toddler from the wreck
of a submerged car on Sunday said they launched into their heroics
when they heard desperate pleas for help coming from a woman inside.

But when the four men used all their strength to right the red Dodge
sedan, they found little Lily Groesbeck to be the only passenger left
alive in the vehicle.

Her mother, 25-year-old Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck, had passed away the
night before when she lost control of the car and could not possibly
have called for the men to help save her child.

'For two nights I've laid awake trying to figure out exactly what it
could be. All I know is it was there, we all heard it,' Spanish Fork
Police Officer Tyler Beddoes said. 'It was extra motivation.'[Lone survivor: 25-year-old Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck (left) and her
